MILAN SHOES AND ACCESSORIES FAIR: FROM 15 TO 17 JUNE IN MILAN

The first footwear exhibition held in Italy by Asian manufacturers will take place in Milan from 15 to 17 June to give visibility to their products and open up to both the Italian and European markets, thus promoting industrial cooperation between Europe and Asia.

The location chosen for MISAF -Milan Shoes & Accessories Fair- are the East End Studios in via Mecenate (Studio 90). Over 100 exhibitors will instead come mainly from the provinces that make up the Chinese footwear district: Zhejiang (famous for the industrial production of leather and imitation leather products), Fujian (the most important sports shoe manufacturing area in the world), Guangdong (where medium-level footwear is mostly produced) and Sichuan (mainly focused on women’s shoes).

These are companies that already work with the European and American markets and that export an average of one to ten million dollars each year to Europe.

Among the exhibitors, companies that produce for Baolite, Lapps, Runxin, Goodyear, but also luxury brands such as Sheme, the first Chinese shoe brand to appear at fashion weeks in Paris, London and New York. Also present are powers such as O Kangnai Group Co. which, with its 300 stores in China and more than 100 abroad, represents one of the most important Chinese manufacturing companies. In fact, it is a partner of numerous brands including Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, Rockport. Without forgetting sports shoes, first of all Clorts (name born from the fusion of “climbing” and “sports”) which focuses on innovation applied to outdoor shoes.

The fair is promoted by Plum Solution – a company that promotes exchanges between Europe and China – and by the Chinese National Chamber of Commerce. “We chose Milan because it connects well with both northern and southern Europe. Our ambition is to make MISAF the reference professional platform for the volume footwear sector. The proposals for men, women and children that will be present at the fair represent a good balance between quality, design and price”, explained Ying Wang, Secretary General of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Footwear.

MISAF is at its first edition in Italy, but is already thinking about a winter appointment scheduled for January 2020.
