Phenomenon Sneakers: the most requested shoes
The next appointment with MISAF – Milan Shoes and Accessories Fair is scheduled for 2021.
The first virtual edition of MISAF- Milan Shoes and Accessories Fair ended, reaching more than 1.000 visitors, who come from many different countries. The footwear and accessories exhibitors’ stands were more than 200, with thousands of products exposed. The European participation was good, on the top positions there are Italy, Serbia, England, Turkey and Greece; In America USA conquered the first position, while in Asia, the field’s professionals from India, China, Pakistan and Bangladesh entered the platform Misaf Virtual Exhibition, to see thousands of samples and choose the most appropriate according to the requests and taste of their customers.
These 10 countries together represent almost the 2/3 of all visitors of the virtual exhibition; the companies which obtained the most interest were Ranch International Limited, Putian Sinosun, Fujian Luochihong, Wuhan Sunteam, and Taizhou Ougang Shoes, all brands which have a very important international acknowledgment.
The most sought-after products are sneakers, both for men and women. The pandemic effect keeps being a load in relation to the footwear consumption, in all markets: the comfort of sport shoes always wins.
The products requested were vary, which means many tastes and styles, where the sport style is the common denominator, sneakers are universally the new must-have, the comfort wins on heels and elegance.
The president of the Italy China Foundation, Mr. Mario Boselli, took part in the opening ceremony through a video message of greetings, in which he talks about the importance of the event: although it is a virtual edition, it represents a new modality to interact in a concrete and accessible way, in order to support the sector with a continuity in developing business connections.
The very appreciated customization of the platform was developed by the students of the Brera Academy (Scenography school), who explained the strong changes happened in the fashion world because of the pandemic, in which the online proposal is perceived as a re-launch opportunity, a direction towards the future.
MISAF VIRTUAL EXHIBITION combined the virtual experience with business opportunities of buyers, exhibitors and all the players of the footwear world, on an international scale; The matching between exhibitors and visitors, for the reception of purchasing orders and exchange of information, worked perfectly, generating many exchanges, business opportunities, trading relations and negotiations to help a market which has been stuck for a long time.
The next appointment with MISAF – Milan Shoes and Accessories Fair, is scheduled for 2021.
